2016 Native American $1 Coins Released

On Jan 27th 2016, the United States Mint issued a new design of the 2016 Native American Coins to commemorate the immense contributions of the Code Talkers from World War 1 and 2.Buyers and collectors have an exciting choice including dollars in U.S. Mint-branded 25-coin rolls, 100-coin bags, and 250-coin boxes from production facilities in Philadelphia and Denver.
This special Native American Coins was introduced in 2009 but a fresh mint is released every year with changing reverses. All of them celebrate contributions to the history and development of the United States by Indian tribes or individuals.
This coin is crafted by Thomas D. Rogers, Sr. and it features two helmets with the inscriptions WWI and WWII, and two feathers that form a V to symbolize victory and the remarkable role of code talkers.
Common to all Native American dollars is the obverse which features Glenna Goodacre’s depiction of Sacagawea with her baby.
